Slacker extrodinare. Akira enjoys the finer things in life such as: video games, manga, and laying around. He is generally a nice guy. He is often the victim of the girls wraith however even though it usually is not his fault. He resides in the Torinaga All-Girls dorm where his sister, Tomoe owns. He wanted to attend Hanasaki University because his father and sister went there but he has no clue what he wants to do. H egets along with Tomoe but they tend to bicker back and forth like siblings.

Student under Tomoe Torinaga and a boarder at Torinaga All-Girls Dorm. She is Tomoe's start pupil and is set to inherit the Torina No Ryu. Displaying a grace and beauty in her swordsman...err..womanship as well as maintaning excellent grades. She highly dislikes Akira and usually goes off the deep end when he is around. In fact, she is quite shy around guys and doesn't know how to act around them. She wanted to attend Hanasaki University because her mother attended.
通永トモエ Torinaga Tomoe Age: 26 Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Likes: Painting, drawings, swords, and Monsters and Magic. Dislikes: Abnoxious people, bending the rules, and the past.
Owner and landlady of Torinaga All-Girls Dorm. As well, she is a art professor in the Art and Sciences department. She is the current master in Torinaga No Ryu and has given the eccense of the style to the start pupil Akari Shiro. She enjoys painting and drawing. She is also quite the avid Monsters and Magic expert. She wanted to attend Hanasaki University to be like her father, where she graduated, and became a full-time professor.
闇黒レイ Yamikuro Rei Age: 21 Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Likes: Everything. Dislikes: Nothing.
Rei hails from a isolated clan in rural Japan that have roots back in the 1300's. Known for dressing in a "goth" type fashion, due to her isolationist upbringing, Rei has no clue what "goth" actually is. She tends to do things on a whim and without thinking but usually, turns out to be good - sometimes.
緑えり Midori Eri Age: 20 Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown Likes: Chess, reading, studying, and gathering information. Dislikes: How she looks.
Eri is a expert chess player renowed amoung the chess teams in Japan. An acclaimed chess player that is sought out amoung other univrsities, she truly is a master at the game. However, she plays it for fun and is never truly serious about the game. She actually dislikes talking about it. As well, she is very smart and has one of the highest IQ's (next to Yumi) in the university.
秋穂山ゆみ Aioyama Yumi Age: 11 Hair: Light brown Eyes: Brown Likes: No one truly knows. Dislikes: Her family.
A very quiet and serious young girl. One truly knows what Yumi is like. However, she has the highest IQ in the university and currently completing her master's degree. She is extremely smart for her age however she feels it is a curse - since people praise her so much. She has a family complex that comes with her trying to be the best.
ジョノスケ Jonosuke Age: 19 Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Likes: Having fun, jokes, Heavy Metal, and computers. Dislikes: Boring people, serious people, and depressing people.
Jonosuke is one of Akira's longtime best friend. He is the type of guy that likes to just cut back and have fun. He is never truly serious save when it is necessary and even then; tries to remian ubeat. He has a love for Hevay metal and has a desire to form a Heavy metal band someday.
グラマンオスケ Grahamnosuke Age: 19 Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Likes: Sports, video games, playing the guitar, and just hanging out Dislikes: Stuck-up tntellectuals and fake people.
Grahamnosuke is another long time best friend of Akira's. He cares about Akira and was thrilled to se ehim make it into Hanasaki University. Below his tough guy exterior lies th eheart of a kind and gentle person. He enjoys playing the guitar and "kinda" shares the dream to start a Heavy Metal band with Jonosuke. Though he prefers blues and jazz. He constantly chews a toothpick due to that fact he is trying to quite smoking.

Summary Akira Torinaga is a slacker and procastinator extremist who lays around all day playing video games, reading comics, an dbeing forced to play Monsters and Magic. Yet he is a kind person with a even kinder heart - even if it goes unnoticed by most people. His luck changes though when he, somehow, get's accepted into his top choice college, Hanasaki University and lands in a all-girls dorm to boot - reason being he sent his application in 3 weeks late! So now, he is stuck in a girls dormitory with his chain-smoking, sword-weiling, art professor sister Tomoe Torinaga and 3 other girls with unique personalities: Akari Shiro - the high-temper, sword women with a nasty attitude, Eri Midori - the kind yet quiet book nerd whoose beauty comes from the inside, Yumi Aioyama - the 10-year prodigy whoose complex about her family and her maturity is up to question, and Rei Yamikuro - the "goth who doens't know what "goth" is" that everybody loves.
How will Akira survive with 5 crazy girls, 2 best friends they enjoy picking on him, 2 ex-girlfriends that thrist for blood, and a haunted dorm bent on Akira and Akari? As well, what is up between those two? They may hate eachother but the affinitty they feel towards eachother can't be described in words.
Background Info White Day was created a little more then a year ago when my friend, Mike, decided to write out the story of a romance-comedy. After hearing about it, around the New Year I decided to hop on board and draw out the series. After that, we discussed the characters, plots, storylines, etc for a while until we finally put it on paper. Soon 4 pilot chapters were created but never inked. Later in spring, Mike gave me the rights of White Day and I began to undertake the project myself and proceeded to make a final draft of the first chapter. During the summer, White Day finally debuted on my previous website in 21 pages. The first chapter as approx. 30 pages. Mike is still writing material for White Day but he is not as involved in the it as before.
White Day has currently been slated as a 20 chapter manga with room for expansion. However, I can only do things at once and sometimes, I take an extended break from White Day. However, I have begun inking the final pages of Chapter 1 and beginning to ink Chapter 2 from the pilot chapters. So expect Akira, Akari, Tomoe, and the other characters to show up again!
